Bull Mornings
Mondays – Saturdays: 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Personal Background: I grew up in Avon, Illinois (just a little more than an hour from Burlington) where I spent a lot of my childhood actually listening to 101.7 The Bull. Had you told me at that time that I would be the morning show host for that radio station 15 to 20 years later…I wouldn’t have believed you. However, during my junior year of high school, I decided I wanted to be in broadcasting…more specifically, radio. I lived in Avon till I graduated high school in 2013 then moved to the Chicago area to start my broadcasting journey.
Professional Background: My broadcasting background has been pretty wild. After I graduated broadcasting school, I moved to Wisconsin where I got my first job as a board operator for WQOW News 18 in Eau Claire. I worked my way up to Assistant Director for their morning show in my 2.5 years there while also taking a part time job at a radio station in Eau Claire (WAXX 104.5FM). While working that part time gig at WAXX…I realized that radio was my true calling. From there, I came to Burlington and worked for Pritchard Broadcasting for 2.5 years before jumping over to Titan Broadcasting in 2019 when a job came available. Shortly after I started at Titan, I was given the chance to do the morning show and the rest is history! Now, there was that 20ish month stretch where I wasn’t at 101.7 The Bull. I did move away to Oklahoma where I tried working in Sports Broadcasting full-time. I thought that was my true calling in when I went into this business. And while I do enjoy doing play-by-play and things for sporting events…doing it full time just took my love for sports (which dates back to my childhood days) away because I viewed sports as work and not pleasure. So I moved back to Iowa in hopes I would possibly get a chance to be on the radio and in March of 2024, I was granted that chance once again. I am extremely grateful and excited to be back on the station I grew up listening to, playing the music I love, and entertaining and hanging out with the community that I love.
Favs: As mentioned, I love sports. I have ever since I was a young child. I’m a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packer, and Illinois Fighting Illini fan. When I’m not parked on my couch watching one of those 3 teams play, I’m either playing video games (I’ve developed a mild gaming addiction over the years), throwing darts (I shoot league 2 nights a week), and sometimes playing golf (not as much as I’d like because golf is an expensive hobby and I can only do it so much a year.
